Good afternoon, Converge Nation.
I trust this email finds you walking in the fullness of God’s purpose and plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11-14)!
Pastor Wendy and I are excited to inform you that we have identified a property in East McKinney that we believe is the next home of Converge Church. The property is strategically located between Princeton and Fairview and sits on approximately 2.4 acres. It is large enough for our current and future ministry needs, and it is affordably priced at $1.3M. With the advice and consent of our Board of Elders and Overseers, and our legal team, we have entered into a purchase agreement with the Sellers and are now under contract. We are officially on the clock, Converge Nation.
What does this mean?
1. The Due Diligence process started this week. This process includes structural inspections, ALTA survey, etc. We are being thorough and meticulous over the next 30 days to ensure that the integry of the structures and major systems is intact, and that there are no environmental restrictions i.e. flood plains, etc. that will prevent or restrict future Converge building and expansion plans.
2. Additionally, the underwriting process is underway with a third party in order for Converge to secure the financing needed to complete the purchase. Pray for favor, and no delays or denials.
3. The anticipated closing date is September 23.
4. While the buildings on the property are somewhat worship ready, we will still need to invest in:
- FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment): seating, audio, video and lighting equipment, security cameras, other furnishings, etc.
- Painting: interior and exterior of both buildings and the parking lot
- Remodeling: restrooms, meeting rooms, etc.
